Continuity and Experience
Founded in 1981 by Jerry Tepper and Adam Christmann, PGM began in White Plains, NY as General Agencies were first emerging. Since that time, the firm has become one of the preeminent agencies in the Tri-State area and now has three central locations; in Westchester County, mid town Manhattan, and Long Island.
The PGM team is experienced and seasoned, with many having been associated with carriers, medical groups, insurance agencies or brokers prior to joining us. Our experience in all facets of the business allows us to quickly resolve problems and offer knowledgeable solutions.
Jerry Tepper PresidentJerry had been running his own insurance company for eleven years before joining with Adam Christmann to create PGM in 1981. Prior to General Agencies becoming prevalent, Jerry collaborated with major carriers such as CT General (Cigna) and Hartford to provide brokers with effective plan solutions, and in doing so, helped to introduce the General Agency concept to Westchester County. Prior to establishing his own business, Jerry had worked for CT General for 11 years.
Joe Trapani Vice PresidentJoe manages the Manhattan sales office of PGM. He joined PGM with over 30 years of experience in the health insurance field. Prior to becoming a Partner at PGM, Joe owned Dascit/White & Winston (DWW) a large health insurance General Agency and one of the first agencies of its kind in NYC. He worked at DWW in excess of 25 years. Joe's role with PGM is to focus on agency and brokerage relationships. Joe received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the New York City College of Insurance.
